navigating life alone is not an option

A little about me.

My name is Victoria Aron. I am from the Northshore area of Chicago. I am trained as a clinical social worker, certified addictions counselor and am currently obtaining my certification in sex addiction counseling.

I have over a decade of experience in the recovery community and have the clinical training and expertise to create safety for those who choose to work with me. My career has blossomed in a way that has allowed me to do intense, one-on-one work with clients. I have served the addiction treatment community in most levels of care and I so thoroughly enjoy the work I do. You’re here, so you know, addiction is a disease that requires an immense amount of attention, care and life changing action. The services I provide are aligned with the principles of recovery and, frankly, living a fully free and bad-ass life.

Your life, your loved one’s life, your friend’s life has been ravaged by this disease. And, most likely, so much has been stolen. You must know this fact; there is a way out. There is hope. There is joy and happiness.

I genuinely look forward to engaging with you and potentially helping you in your journey. I cherish the opportunity to be a catalyst for change.

My Approach

Kindness, Empathy, Humor

My therapeutic style is one that creates a sense of approachability. I utilize all my knowledge, as well as my personality, to create an atmosphere for realness.

Recovery

I believe recovery is the act of extracting that which already exists however has been buried. This means recovery is something that comes from within and is determined by the individual. Your true self already exists within you.

Abstinence or…?

Let’s be clear. You get to define what recovery means to you. Sure, abstinence is the answer for many. However this might not be your path and I honor your choices.
